Im Soo-jung Reflects on the Resurgence of 'I'm Sorry, I Love You' and Its Lasting Impact
On the show, Im expressed her delight at the younger generation, known as the MZ generation, rediscovering the drama that aired 21 years ago. She remarked, "It's nice to see them watching it."
Reflecting on the drama's original broadcast, Im admitted she didn't fully grasp its popularity at the time. "There were fans called 'MISA Pains,' but instead of feeling the popularity, I was more like, 'What's happening?' I wanted to hide when people around me kept saying it was great," she confessed.
Im also shared that she cried when she first received the script for 'MISA.' "The title 'I'm Sorry, I Love You' was so different, I wondered, 'What is this?' Our drama was planned to have a sad ending from the start, with Cha Moo-hyuk's terminal illness and Eun-chae following him. We filmed the ending during the first shoot, and everyone loved how it showed their deep love for each other," she reminisced.
