MC Mong Announces Hiatus for Health and Education, Plans Album Release Before Departure

On the night of the 17th, MC Mong took to social media to share, "I have been suffering from extreme depression and have undergone surgery. My health has deteriorated to the point where making music has become difficult." He urged fans not to pay attention to circulating rumors.
MC Mong stated, "I have decided to leave my beloved One Hundred and BPM producer duties to Chairman Cha Ga-won to focus on my health and personal growth through studying abroad." He expressed a strong desire to improve and maintain his health, despite feeling it might be late in his career.
In a surprising turn, MC Mong also hinted at a musical comeback, announcing plans to release an album this year. "I will definitely release an album and hold a concert before going abroad," he declared.
Previously, MC Mong had been removed from his role as the chief producer at One Hundred last month, effectively stepping away from company-related activities.
Below is MC Mong's full statement:
Hello Monkeys!!
I wanted to inform my fans first. I have been struggling with severe depression, a surgery, and declining health, making it hard to continue making music. Please don't focus on the rumors. I am choosing a path that allows me to make music for a longer time.
I have decided to leave my beloved One Hundred and BPM producer duties to Chairman Cha Ga-won to focus on my health and personal growth through studying abroad.
Despite my age, I am eager to improve and become healthier.
I am preparing and will release an album this year. I want to focus on studying music and languages, which I consider my last ambition.
Being a producer and creator has been a dream come true, and I am grateful for the happiness it brought me. I still love and support them. I was worried about overshadowing them and felt like a burden to their fans.
I hope they shine brighter and become amazing artists with the support of their fans.
To my 26-year-old Monkeys, I will definitely release an album and hold a concert before going abroad. I lived writing songs for others, and it made me happy, but I apologize for realizing too late that my music means everything to you.
Our lives are so similar, and my songs are your stories.
Though today's sun cannot dry tomorrow's wet clothes, I am happy knowing you will listen to my music tomorrow.
