Kim Nam-gil Discusses His Epic 5-Hour Fan Meeting on 'Salon Drip 2'

During the show, host Jang Do-yeon remarked on the contrasting personalities of the two actors, even in the waiting room. Kim Nam-gil, known for his chatty nature, mentioned, "There were PDs from variety shows I've worked on." Meanwhile, Kim Young-kwang, who felt a sense of solitude in the crowd, admitted, "Meeting new people is challenging," revealing his introverted side.
Jang Do-yeon brought up Kim Nam-gil's infamous '310-minute fan meeting,' confirming the story. Kim Nam-gil humorously recalled, "Joo Ji-hoon told me, 'If you're going to talk that much with so many people, at least feed them.' So next time, I thought about ordering lunch boxes and giving an intermission."

He also shared his disappointment, "Usually, after a performance, fans chant for an encore, but this time, they rushed out as soon as it ended. I heard through my in-ear monitor, 'The fans are leaving.'"

Kim Nam-gil, whose real-life persona differs from his on-screen characters, expressed his desire to explore various genres, saying, "I used to be drawn to genre films, but now I want to try everything." Kim Young-kwang, who has recently appeared in many genre films, confessed, "I wasn't talkative to begin with, but doing genre films for a long time has made me even quieter."
During filming, Kim Young-kwang was asked to check his microphone, as his voice was not being picked up as well as Kim Nam-gil's. Jang Do-yeon revealed, "The director was surprised because there was nothing wrong with the microphone," adding a humorous touch to the story.
