South Korean Actress Lee Si-young Receives Support for Choosing to Implant Embryo Amid Divorce
South Korean actress Lee Si-young has garnered support from netizens for her decision to implant an embryo, which was nearing its expiration, to have a second child. This decision comes despite the challenging circumstances of her recent divorce, demonstrating her respect for life.

On October 8, Lee Si-young surprised her followers by announcing her pregnancy on Instagram. She explained, "During my marriage, I prepared for a second child through IVF. However, a long time passed without implanting the fertilized embryo. As the five-year storage period for the frozen embryo approached its expiration following my divorce, I decided to proceed with the implantation."

Lee Si-young acknowledged that her ex-husband did not agree with her decision, stating, "I will fully bear the weight of my decision." She emphasized her long-standing desire for children and her inability to discard the embryo nearing the end of its storage period. "Even during a difficult marriage, having my angelic son gave me the strength to endure," she added, highlighting the joy her child brings.

She continued, "While there may be numerous challenges ahead and various scenarios to consider, I believe this choice is more valuable. I trust that this decision will be a meaningful one in my life," showcasing her commitment to her child.

Reflecting on her life, Lee Si-young stated, "The most precious thing in my life has always been my child. Through this miraculous time, I feel my life is gradually being fulfilled. I am only grateful for the new life that has come to me, and I will humbly accept any criticism or advice given to me in the future."

Netizens have responded with waves of congratulations and support for Lee Si-young's courageous choice. Comments include, "I'm glad you made this choice for a life," "You will be a wonderful mother because you made this decision with sincerity," and "You're truly amazing, sister. We support you ❤️ Don't worry about anything else and take care of your health!"

Meanwhile, Lee Si-young married a non-celebrity involved in the restaurant industry in 2017, but the couple recently divorced after eight years. She has one son.
