Encouraged by her mother, Nana entered the supermodel contest, saying, "My mom had a plan for my life, thinking if I grew tall enough in high school, I'd become a supermodel and then a celebrity." When her mother wanted her to remove her tattoos, Nana showed her filial side by doing so without anesthesia.

On a personal note, Nana mentioned, "If I like someone and flirt but get no response, I don't try harder. Why bother? There are plenty of men in the world. I don't do one-sided love."

Nana, who usually doesn't hide her face, shared a funny incident at a pub where five people asked for her number. One mistook her for a Japanese person and used a translator to ask, to which she replied, "I'm Nana," only to be met with disbelief, causing laughter.
