Actor Lee Si-eon Bids Tearful Farewell to Broadcaster Dex on 'Around the World 4'

Actor Lee Si-eon was moved to tears as he bid farewell to broadcaster Dex.

On the October 15th episode of MBC's variety show 'Around the World 4', viewers saw broadcasters Kian84, Pani Bottle, and Lee Si-eon arrive at Lijiang on the Ancient Tea Horse Road.

Before returning to Korea, Dex presented gifts to his older brothers. He gave Kian84 a bottle of premium whiskey, Lee Si-eon a hiking stick, and Pani Bottle a MacGyver knife and night vision goggles. Touched by Dex's thoughtfulness, Kian84 also prepared a surprise gift. He painted a portrait of Dex on a t-shirt he bought in the Himalayas, explaining, "I had already drawn for Si-eon and Pani, but not for Dex, so I did it this time."

Dex was deeply moved by the unexpected gift. He expressed his gratitude, saying, "This is amazing. Thank you, brother." He added, "I didn't expect any gifts, let alone a drawing. During our time in Madagascar, I was envious of the other brothers receiving gifts, not because they were from a famous webtoon artist, but because they were heartfelt."

Kian84 inscribed the t-shirt with the phrase 'Final Journey of Around the World'. He shared, "It was a message for Dex and myself. Dex always said he'd come back despite the challenges. I think he felt this might be the last time." Dex reflected, "Thinking this might be our last trip makes this drawing even more precious. It feels like time is captured in it, and it will be remembered forever."

In the studio, Dex revealed that he had framed the t-shirt from Kian84, which brought a satisfied smile to Kian84's face. Dex shared, "It was our last night together, and it was meaningful to spend it in a fun, ordinary way. I was happy to be with my brothers."

Pani Bottle commented on Dex, saying, "Dex is an indispensable part of 'Around the World'." Kian84 also praised Dex as "our ace." Lee Si-eon, overwhelmed with emotion, eventually shed tears, saying, "I felt so happy, but it was a bittersweet night, thinking such a moment might not come again."

Dex fondly recalled, "Oddly, what sticks in my memory is the scene of us exchanging silly jokes in the car after camping. I usually dislike such atmospheres, but I loved it. It's the charm of these brothers, and I've somehow become a part of it like a gentle drizzle."

Additionally, the episode featured model Han Hye-jin as a special guest. Han Hye-jin expressed her gratitude for being invited, saying, "Dex was busy, so I'm here instead." Kian84 revealed their friendship, saying, "In Korea, I hang out with Hye-jin." Han Hye-jin humorously suggested, "Let's all go to the sauna together."
