Star instructor Jo Jung-sik (42) has officially denied allegations that he purchased mock exam questions from a current teacher.

On the 11th, Jo Jung-sik's legal representatives, attorneys Choi Bong-kyun and Jung Sung-yeop from the law firm Pyeongan, issued a statement clarifying the situation. Attorney Choi stated, "Recent reports by a media outlet regarding Jo Jung-sik contain inaccuracies. These reports have severely damaged the instructor's reputation and social trust."

He continued, "Jo Jung-sik and his legal team are confident that all charges currently forwarded to the prosecution are baseless. Jo Jung-sik has never directly paid 58 million won to the teacher in question." He also emphasized, "The case is currently under strict investigation by the authorities, and the facts will be clearly revealed through the investigation results."

Additionally, "We are deeply regretful about the indiscriminate spread of unverified information," he warned, "We will take all possible legal actions, both civil and criminal, against the dissemination of false information and defamation."

Previously, on the 10th, a media outlet reported that Jo Jung-sik was forwarded to the prosecution on charges of violating the Anti-Graft Act and obstruction of business on the 17th of last month.

According to the report, Jo Jung-sik contacted a current teacher, identified as A, with experience in creating college entrance exam questions in November 2020. He requested the teacher to create mock exam questions for high school seniors at the end of each month, offering 150,000 to 200,000 won per question. It was reported that he received 10 questions from A in the first transaction and transferred 2 million won.

Jo Jung-sik is currently appearing on Channel A's entertainment program 'Please Take Care of My Grades - Teachers 2.' The production team stated, "We are aware of the allegations and are verifying the facts," while also confirming that the round interview scheduled for the 13th will proceed as planned.
