Taecyeon Expresses His Love for 2PM and Reveals Why He Joined 51K

Taecyeon of 2PM has expressed his deep affection for the group.

On the 9th, the YouTube channel 'Jjanhyung Shin Dong-yup' featured actors So Ji-sub and Taecyeon.

During the episode, Taecyeon shared why he decided to join the same agency as So Ji-sub. After his contract with JYP ended, Taecyeon moved to the comprehensive entertainment company 51K, where So Ji-sub is also signed.

Taecyeon revealed, "I was exploring other companies, but I had a condition in mind: 'I must continue with 2PM.'" He added, "There were quite a few companies that didn't want 2PM activities. They wanted me to retire and fully transition into acting."

Regarding his choice of the current company, he said, "The CEO of the current company said, 'It's okay to do music. So Ji-sub does it too. You can't stop an actor from doing what they want.' That gave me strength," he shared with a laugh.

Recently, Taecyeon performed with So Ji-sub at a fan meeting in Japan. So Ji-sub, who has released nine hip-hop albums, said, "I love hip-hop, but there's a reason I sing. I want to sing, but I'm tone-deaf. After singing other people's songs, I wanted to sing my own."

So Ji-sub added, "I only sing in front of fans. I don't do it elsewhere," and humorously expressed his ambition, "I'm not here because of a new album, but I do want to complete up to the 10th album."

Meanwhile, Taecyeon mentioned that his character Ryan in 'Secret Royal Inspector & Joy' perfectly matched his personality, being lazy and loving food. So Ji-sub countered, "From what I see, he loves working more than anyone."

Taecyeon explained, "I don't like working, but when I do, I give it my all. But I still don't like it," adding, "I recently talked with the 2PM members, and we felt the same. We've been busy since we were young, so we feel anxious when there's no work."
