IU Celebrates Birthday with Generous Donation to Support Vulnerable Communities

On the 16th, EDAM Entertainment announced that IU donated a total of 200 million KRW (approximately $150,000) to four organizations under the name 'IUaena' (a combination of IU and her fan club, Uaena). Each organization received 50 million KRW. The donations are intended to support impoverished families, the elderly living alone, youth preparing for independence, single-parent families, and people with disabilities in South Korea.
The funds were distributed to 'Hope Bridge', 'Child Rights Agency', 'Happy Giver', and 'Warm Companion'. The donations will be used for various purposes, including supporting the livelihood of impoverished families and the elderly, helping youth prepare for social integration, providing living, medical, and educational expenses for single-parent families, and supporting spatial welfare and advanced assistive devices for people with disabilities.
IU has consistently made donations under the name 'IUaena' on meaningful occasions such as her debut anniversary, her birthday, and the end of the year, spreading positive influence. In March, she donated 200 million KRW to support victims of large-scale wildfires in the Gyeongsang region and to improve the working conditions of firefighters. On Children's Day, she donated 150 million KRW to support children and adolescents.
Meanwhile, IU is set to release her remake album 'Flower Bookmark Three' on the 27th, marking her first remake album in eight years. She is also preparing to film her upcoming drama '21st Century Lady'.
