Actor Kim Jung-hyun Signs with New Agency, Announces Fresh Start

On the 2nd, Management Siseon revealed the news of their exclusive contract with Kim Jung-hyun, stating, "We are delighted to have Kim Jung-hyun on board. We will spare no effort in supporting him to fully showcase his unique talents." They added, "Please look forward to Kim Jung-hyun's future endeavors and activities through various projects."
Kim Jung-hyun made his debut in 2015 with the film 'Overman' and has since gained attention for his performances in dramas such as 'Iron Family', 'Kokdu: Season of Deity', 'Mr. Queen', 'Crash Landing on You', 'Time', 'Welcome to Waikiki', and 'School 2017'. Earlier this year, Kim Jung-hyun won the Best Actor Award at the 2024 KBS Drama Awards for his role in 'Iron Family'.

Meanwhile, in 2021, allegations surfaced that during the filming of the MBC drama 'Time' (2018), Kim Jung-hyun made significant script and direction changes and eventually dropped out due to demands from his then-girlfriend, actress Seo Ye-ji.
According to released text messages, Seo Ye-ji referred to Kim Jung-hyun as 'Kim Stiff' and instructed him to act coldly towards his co-star, Seohyun. This led to controversy over his behavior, as he refused to link arms with Seohyun during a press conference photo session and maintained a somber demeanor throughout.
After receiving the Best Actor Award at the KBS Drama Awards last year, Kim Jung-hyun apologized, saying, "Receiving this award and expressing gratitude is something I must do, but true gratitude cannot be achieved without reflecting on the past. I deeply apologize for my past actions that hurt many people and caused discomfort."
He continued, "I don't think it's over just because I've apologized. I don't expect forgiveness, but I believe it's a necessary step to continue my life."
In other news, Management Siseon has recently signed exclusive contracts with actors Shin Hye-sun and Cha Chung-hwa.
