K-Pop Sensation SEVENTEEN Donates $1 Million to Support South Korean Wildfire Victims

On the 27th, SEVENTEEN made a generous donation of 1 billion KRW (approximately $1 million USD) to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association. The group expressed their heartfelt wishes, stating, "We hope this contribution provides some relief to those affected by the wildfires. We extend our deepest condolences to the victims and offer comfort to everyone going through these challenging times."
Shin Hoon, Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, expressed gratitude for SEVENTEEN's warm-hearted donation, stating, "We deeply appreciate the members of SEVENTEEN for their generous contribution. The funds will be used swiftly and transparently to help the wildfire victims return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
Hope Bridge is actively providing emergency relief supplies to the wildfire-stricken areas of Uiseong County in Gyeongbuk and Sancheong County in Gyeongnam. They have deployed relief vehicles, including laundry service trucks and mental health recovery buses, to temporary shelters on-site. Additional support is being considered in collaboration with local governments if necessary.
In addition to SEVENTEEN, major corporations such as Naver, Kakao, and Hanwha Group have also contributed 1 billion KRW each to aid the wildfire victims.
