NewJeans Halts Activities Following Court's Ban on Independent Actions

NewJeans has announced a temporary halt to all activities following a court decision prohibiting independent actions.
During their performance at 'ComplexCon' in Hong Kong on the 23rd, NewJeans stated, "Today's stage might be our last for a while," adding, "We have decided to comply with the court's decision and temporarily suspend all activities. It wasn't an easy decision, but it's a necessary one right now."
Despite accepting the court's decision, NewJeans members expressed their intention to continue their independent path. Minji remarked on stage in Hong Kong, "We knew it wouldn't be easy from the start," and added, "While we accept the court's decision and the process, we will speak up to protect each other. We do not regret this choice."
Hyein also commented, "Some might think it would have been better to stay with ADOR," but emphasized, "For us, this was about protecting ourselves. We believe that by doing so, we can come back stronger. That's why we never regret our decision."
Minji further stated, "We plan to take some time to regroup and then move forward with renewed strength," assuring fans, "This is not the end. We will definitely return, smiling brightly to meet you all again."
Previously, on the 21st, the Seoul Central District Court's Civil Division 50, led by Chief Judge Kim Sang-hoon, granted ADOR's injunction request against NewJeans members, prohibiting them from engaging in independent activities or signing advertising contracts without ADOR's consent.
The court ruled, "Based solely on the claims and evidence submitted by the debtors (NewJeans members), it is difficult to conclude that the creditor (ADOR) violated significant obligations of the exclusive contract or that mutual trust has irreparably broken down." As a result, NewJeans cannot engage in independent activities without ADOR's consent until the first trial verdict of the main lawsuit is delivered.
