Kim Sae-ron's Family to Hold Press Conference Amid Defamation Allegations Against YouTuber
The family of actress Kim Sae-ron is set to hold a press conference.

On the 16th, Bu Ji-seok, the legal representative from the law firm Buyu, announced that a defamation lawsuit would be filed against YouTuber Lee Jin-ho at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on the 17th. The lawsuit is based on allegations of spreading false information.

Attorney Bu emphasized, "The current dispute revolves around whether Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron dated as minors, and it is true that they were in a relationship. However, the claim that this was a 'fabrication' by Kim Sae-ron is clearly false."

Before submitting the lawsuit, Attorney Bu plans to hold a press conference in front of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency to explain the reasons behind the legal action. He stated, "The family has appointed a legal representative for the first time, and we intend to explain why we had no choice but to file a lawsuit against YouTuber Lee Jin-ho."

On the 15th, Kim Sae-ron's family released an official statement through the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute, expressing their desire for Kim Soo-hyun to acknowledge and apologize for dating Kim Sae-ron during their minor years. They also requested an apology from his agency, Gold Medalist, for denying the relationship over the past three years.

Kim Soo-hyun's agency previously released a statement saying, "Following the reports by Garosero, Kim Soo-hyun has been experiencing severe distress due to claims that he was responsible for the sudden death of the deceased." While acknowledging the relationship with Kim Sae-ron, they asserted, "It was not during their minor years."

The agency further stated, "Publicly debating this matter is not appropriate for the deceased's honor or for the mother who sought any means to restore it. We wish to meet with the mother and provide a thorough explanation. We would appreciate it if you could contact the Gold Medalist office at any time."
