Koo Jun-yup, a 56-year-old singer, has decided to lay his late wife, Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu (also known as Xu Xiyuan, 48), to rest at Jinbo Mountain instead of a tree burial as initially planned.

According to Taiwanese media outlet ET Today, Koo Jun-yup initially intended to follow Barbie Hsu's wishes for a tree burial. However, he has now chosen Jinbo Mountain as her final resting place after extensive searching. Koo expressed his desire to have an independent space where he can visit Barbie Hsu anytime in the future.

Barbie Hsu was known for her strong environmental beliefs, which initially led the family to consider a tree burial. Despite this, Koo Jun-yup postponed the funeral to find a more suitable location. Multiple sources have confirmed that Barbie Hsu's remains will be interred at Jinbo Mountain, one of Taiwan's most renowned cemeteries, where many famous stars, including Teresa Teng, Coco Lee, Godfrey Gao, and director Chi Po-lin, are buried.

Though a month has passed since Barbie Hsu's passing, Koo Jun-yup continues to mourn deeply. Close associates report that Koo and Barbie's sister, Dee Hsu, often break into tears during conversations. "Koo's eyes are severely swollen from continuous crying, and he has lost significant weight due to poor appetite," they shared.

Barbie Hsu passed away on February 2nd from acute pneumonia caused by the flu while on a family trip to Japan for the Lunar New Year. Her remains were cremated in Japan and have since been transferred to Taiwan.

Barbie Hsu was previously married to Wang Xiaofei in 2011, with whom she had a son and a daughter. The couple divorced in November 2021 after ten years of marriage. She later married Koo Jun-yup on February 8, 2022.
