EXO's Xiumin Faces Controversy Over 'Music Bank' Appearance: A Clash Between One Hundred and KBS
A dispute has erupted between One Hundred and KBS regarding EXO member Xiumin's appearance on KBS's 'Music Bank'.

One Hundred, the parent company of INB100, which Xiumin is part of, claimed on the 4th that they have been wronged concerning Xiumin's appearance on 'Music Bank'. The agency stated, "We have made numerous attempts to meet with the broadcasting station, but KBS has remained unresponsive to our efforts."

They further added, "Recently, KBS unofficially communicated that it would be impossible for Xiumin to appear on programs like KBS2's 'Music Bank' alongside SM Entertainment artists." The agency expressed their frustration, saying, "We have continuously reached out to KBS to convey the message, 'Please prioritize the artists and their fans.' However, our efforts have been ignored."

Moreover, they warned, "If the unfair situation surrounding our artists continues, our artists will be unable to perform on music shows during the weeks when SM Entertainment artists are promoting their albums. We believe it is highly unfair for a public broadcaster like KBS to make such decisions based solely on the stance of a particular company."

In response, KBS told TenAsia, "The claims made by Xiumin's agency are unfounded, and we are in ongoing communication with them."

Xiumin, who is set to release a solo album on the 10th, debuted with EXO under SM Entertainment in 2012. The subunit ChenBaekXi, consisting of members Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, notified SM of their contract termination in 2023 due to issues like lack of transparency in settlements. They subsequently moved to INB100 under One Hundred. Although initial disputes seemed resolved through negotiations, tensions have resurfaced after a year, drawing attention once again.
