MONSTA X member Kihyun has completed his mandatory military service and returned to the embrace of his fans.

Kihyun was officially discharged on the morning of the 21st. He enlisted in August 2023 and served in the division headquarters military band.

On this day, Kihyun warmly greeted fans who gathered to celebrate his discharge. He asked if they were cold and made eye contact with them, sharing a moment of warmth. Proudly holding up his Army Warrior Award, Kihyun beamed with joy.

Kihyun expressed his gratitude, saying, "I heard you were waiting since yesterday. Thank you for waiting so long on such a cold day." He added, "Now that I'm back, I'm excited to start activities. Aren't you curious about what's coming? I'm preparing a lot. There will be many performances and new music releases."

He continued, "I worked hard during my 18 months of service, earning many awards. I'm standing proudly in front of MONBEBE (fan club name). Thank you." Kihyun also shared his joy on social media, stating, "I'm a civilian now."

With this, Kihyun becomes the fourth member of MONSTA X to complete military service. The eldest member, Shownu, completed his alternative service as a social service worker, while Minhyuk and Joohoney were discharged in October last year and last month, respectively. Hyungwon is set to be discharged in May.

Celebrating their 10th debut anniversary this year, MONSTA X is reportedly preparing for activities as a complete group.
