Yoo Jae-suk Addresses Uncertain Times at 'Excuse Awards'
Renowned South Korean entertainer Yoo Jae-suk has spoken out about the current uncertain times.
On the 22nd, the YouTube channel 'DdeunDdeun' released a video of the '2nd Excuse Awards'. Following last year's grand prize winner, actor Lee Dong-wook, this year's top honor went to actor Hwang Jung-min.
Concluding the awards ceremony, Yoo Jae-suk expressed, "Thanks to all of you, we were able to bring laughter to many people this year."
He continued, "As you know, the current situation is unpredictable and can feel quite stifling, but the new year is just around the corner. I believe the fog surrounding us will clear, and we will regain our peaceful daily lives." He added, "Nevertheless, I sincerely thank you all for being here," addressing the unstable state of affairs.
On the 21st, during the SBS 'Drama Awards', several actors also indirectly referenced the recent state of emergency.
