Lee Young-hyun Releases Third Album 'PRIVATE' with All Tracks as Title Songs
On the afternoon of the 19th, Lee Young-hyun held a showcase at Ilji Art Hall in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, to celebrate the release of her third full-length album 'PRIVATE'.
Lee Young-hyun, who drew attention by choosing all 11 songs as title tracks and even filming music videos for them, explained, "Don't we usually perform songs that are well-known at offline concerts? When I sing lesser-known tracks, the feedback is lukewarm, and they get overlooked in the next performance." She continued, "Isn't it sad when some songs don't even get a chance? I decided to open the door, hoping listeners would choose according to their preferences. I think labeling is meaningless. I planned this with the hope that all the songs would be loved equally."
Regarding the music videos, Lee Young-hyun mentioned that she chose to showcase her emotions live rather than focusing on looking pretty. She said, "I'm terrible at lip-syncing. My lips don't match at all. So, I sang live as practice. Shouldn't music videos look pretty? But I sang so passionately that wrinkles appeared on my forehead and cheeks, which is unfortunate. Looking back, those emotions and memories passing by were also good."
Lee Young-hyun participated in writing and composing for her third album 'PRIVATE', which encapsulates her personal stories accumulated over 20 years. Unusually, she selected all 10 tracks as title songs. 'PRIVATE' is divided into three chapters: 'FIRE', 'PEARL', and 'CELEBRATION', conveying messages about 'stories to tell someone', 'stories I want to hide the most', and 'thoughts on love and separation'.
Meanwhile, Lee Young-hyun's third album 'PRIVATE' will be released on various online music sites at 6 PM on the 19th.
