IU and TWICE Share Heartwarming Friendship Moments on YouTube

K-pop star IU showcased her warm friendship with the girl group TWICE.

On the 16th, IU's YouTube channel '이지금' featured a video titled 'Merry TWICEmas in Advance (With TWICE)' as part of her 'IU's Palette' series. The episode included TWICE as guests, where they shared various stories.

During the episode, IU reminisced about her first meeting with the TWICE members. She asked, "Does anyone remember when we first met?" Nayeon responded, "I completely remember." She recalled, "It was right after we debuted with 'Like OOH-AHH' and attended our first music festival near COEX. IU was washing her hands in the restroom, wearing a purple velvet outfit with black pants and straight hair," showcasing her impressive memory.

IU then shared, "I vividly remember Nayeon giving me a sunflower at the Gaon Chart Music Awards. It was so natural that I thought she was giving them to all the members." Nayeon added, "I mustered the courage to give it to you. Thinking back, my heart could burst," creating a warm atmosphere.

IU continued, "Nayeon gave it to me so naturally, I thought everyone was receiving one from her." Nayeon reflected, "I was brave back then." IU expressed her gratitude, "I kept it for months because I was so thankful. TWICE members always applauded when I received awards and helped me when I got lost," sharing heartwarming anecdotes.

Additionally, member Jeongyeon confessed her admiration for IU, saying, "I bought 'The Golden Hour' DVD and watched it repeatedly during tours. I regret not bringing it for an autograph." IU was surprised when Jeongyeon asked for her autograph on the back of her phone during a break.

IU expressed her feelings to TWICE, "I genuinely like you all, not just because you're pretty or because I support you." The TWICE members responded, "We really like you too. It's heart-fluttering," and Tzuyu suddenly exclaimed, "Please date us," causing laughter. IU, taken aback, asked, "Who said that?" and joked, "This is heart-fluttering," adding humor to the moment.
