YG Entertainment Addresses Allegations Against Former WINNER Member Song Min-ho
YG Entertainment has responded to allegations surrounding former WINNER member Song Min-ho regarding his alternative military service. The agency addressed the issue on the 17th, stating to TenAsia, "It is difficult to confirm detailed information about the artist's service. However, sick leave and vacations were used in accordance with regulations, and the reasons were extensions of treatments received before his service."
Song Min-ho faced accusations of not fulfilling his duties properly after transferring to the Mapo Community Welfare Center in March. Allegations arose that he signed the attendance record in bulk and colluded with a supervisor, identified as Mr. L, to manipulate his attendance.
Previously, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission recommended the establishment of a 'Public Service Worker Code of Conduct,' suggesting the use of electronic methods, such as time cards, to record attendance if necessary. However, it was pointed out that the facility where Song Min-ho worked did not adhere to these recommendations.
Meanwhile, Song Min-ho began his alternative service in March last year and is scheduled to be discharged on the 23rd.
