Baek Ji-young highlighted the unique aspects of her new title track 'Yeah, That's Right,' describing it as a 'Baekbal' (Baek Ji-young style ballad) that is calm and composed, differing from her previous intense and emotional ballads. The song was composed and directed by Kangta, a decision made through a blind monitoring process at a song camp, rather than a direct request from Baek Ji-young.
During the recording of the new song, Baek Ji-young shared an emotional moment when her daughter visited the studio. She explained, "The song is sad, but it felt warm to me. The warmth of the song and my daughter being there filled me with gratitude, bringing me to tears."
The music video for Baek Ji-young's new song was directed by renowned director Lee Eung-bok, known for his work on dramas like 'Descendants of the Sun,' 'Goblin,' and 'Mr. Sunshine.' This marks Lee Eung-bok's debut in music video direction. Interestingly, the title 'Yeah, That's Right' was suggested by Lee, while the original title by Kangta was 'Pencil.'
The music video also gained attention due to dating rumors between its stars, Nana and Chae Jong-seok. Baek Ji-young mentioned, "We made three versions of the teaser, including a playful '100 Kisses' version, which compiles only the kissing scenes. It's worth watching and can be found on my Instagram account."
Baek Ji-young also revealed she has a dance track ready but is struggling to find a male featuring artist. She humorously noted, "It's been a zodiac cycle since Taecyeon, and now it seems like it might take two cycles." Host Kim Tae-kyun suggested Shownu from Monsta X, to which Baek Ji-young responded with a satisfied smile.
'Cultwo Show' airs daily from 2 PM to 4 PM on SBS PowerFM 107.7MHz and can also be enjoyed as a visual radio broadcast on the official YouTube channel 'Erao.'
