G-Dragon Opens Up About Changes in Stamina in His 30s on Radio Show
K-pop star G-Dragon humorously shared insights about changes in his stamina since entering his 30s.
On November 18, G-Dragon appeared on the 'Starry Night' segment of MBC FM4U's 'Kim Eana's Starry Night'. Introducing G-Dragon, Kim Eana noted, "It's been 88 months since his last comeback, and today is November 18. We are part of the number 8 parade, welcoming G-Dragon, born on 19880818, on this special day."
G-Dragon, feeling shy, covered his face and joked, "It's been so long. There are so many people. It feels like talking while riding a camel in the middle of a desert," easing his nerves with humor.
Kim Eana shared that she had earnestly requested G-Dragon to appear on 'Starry Night' when they met privately, and he gladly accepted the invitation.
Reflecting on his last appearance on 'Starry Night' 13 years ago in 2011, G-Dragon said, "Back then, I was active not only on radio but also on various broadcasts. It's been a while since I've been active, so it's nice to be back." During the show, Kim Eana asked G-Dragon how long it took him to write his lyrics. G-Dragon admitted, "It took quite a while. I often say 'quickly,' but it didn't come out all at once." He explained, "The melody came easily, but matching the lyrics to the unique flow and adding meaning or messages took time."
Kim Eana, as a lyricist, praised G-Dragon's work, saying, "From a writer's perspective, his rhythm and wordplay are top-notch. He was the first to create such trends."
G-Dragon responded, "My pronunciation isn't naturally good, so my speech can sound foreign even in Korean. I use that as an idea, making Korean sound like Japanese or English."
When asked if he felt different from before, G-Dragon replied, "A lot has changed." He humorously noted, "My mind feels the same, but I used to learn choreography quickly. This time, I felt like I couldn't keep up. I realized I need to keep using my body."
