Lee Hyori Shines as the Queen of Support for Husband Lee Sang-soon's Radio Debut

Singer Lee Hyori has stepped into the spotlight as the queen of support for her husband. On the afternoon of the 5th, Lee Hyori appeared as the first guest on MBC FM4U's 'A Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon' in the 'Sharing of Preferences' segment. Introducing herself as 'Lee Sang-soon's wife,' Lee Hyori expressed her joy, saying, 'I'm here to congratulate my husband on his new role as a DJ.' She humorously added that she had prepared for the radio appearance by applying some makeup and washing her hair, to which Lee Sang-soon jokingly responded, 'When we wash our hair, we ask each other why.' Lee Hyori shared that she bought flowers for the occasion but amusingly revealed, 'I left my wallet, so I bought them with my husband's money. It's like 'my money, my purchase,'' explaining the origin of the bouquet in Lee Sang-soon's arms. During the show, Lee Hyori shared music that holds personal significance and confessed that she and Lee Sang-soon have similar tastes. However, she suddenly remarked, 'Why don't you listen to me these days?' drawing attention. She elaborated, 'When choosing furniture recently, he was very assertive, and I felt hurt because he didn't listen to me. He used to cater to my preferences,' she said, shedding light on a moment of emotional vulnerability. Lee Sang-soon replied, 'I have things I like too. I mentioned them before, but you didn't listen,' prompting Lee Hyori to humorously ask, 'Why are you speaking up now when you didn't before?' Towards the end of the broadcast, Lee Hyori expressed her unique affection for Lee Sang-soon, rating him 100 as a DJ. She acknowledged that some might find his voice soft or monotonous but encouraged listeners to pay closer attention, promising that his charm would grow on them, likening it to ASMR. She added, 'I'm reading all the comments on the board. I'll train him at home to learn how to be more upbeat. I hope he stays true to himself,' showcasing her supportive role. Lee Hyori and Lee Sang-soon recently moved from Jeju to Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul, after 11 years. Lee Sang-soon, who debuted in 1998 with the fusion jazz group Wave, has been active in various music projects, including the modern rock group Roller Coaster and collaborations with Kim Dong-ryul in the Veranda Project.
