Actor Kim Woo-seok Enlists in Military Amidst Public Romance with Kang Na-eon

Kim Woo-seok, born in 1996 and publicly dating Kang Na-eon, is set to fulfill his mandatory military service.

Today (4th), Kim Woo-seok will enter the military training camp. After receiving five weeks of basic military training, he will serve in the Army Band.

Previously, Kim Woo-seok's relationship with Kang Na-eon, who is five years younger, became public just ten days before his enlistment. The two met through the web drama '0 Hour is Insider Time.' Both parties confirmed their relationship, stating, "We developed into a romantic relationship after the filming ended and are getting to know each other with good feelings."

At the '0 Hour is Insider Time' production presentation on the 29th of last month, Kim Woo-seok expressed, "I apologize for receiving attention due to personal matters before the drama's airing." He continued, "When working with Na-eon or during readings, I thought she was good at acting, and I was in a position to learn. I received good energy from all the actors, but the chemistry with Kang Na-eon was where I learned and received the most energy."

He added, "I was highlighted due to personal issues before the drama aired. I want to focus on our position to support the production team. I want to show my best as an actor."

Kim Woo-seok debuted in 2015 with the group UP10TION. In 2019, he was selected as the second-place winner on Mnet's survival show 'Produce X 101' and promoted with the project group 'X1.' However, X1 quickly disbanded due to a ranking manipulation controversy.

He has since accelerated his acting career through dramas such as 'Twenty Twenty,' 'Bulgasal,' 'Finland Papa,' and 'It's Night.' In February last year, he left UP10TION and signed an exclusive contract with Blitzway in March. Blitzway is an agency that represents actors like Jung Ryeo-won, Chun Woo-hee, Joo Ji-hoon, and Son Dam-bi.
