Former Crayon Pop member Choa has revealed her battle with cervical cancer.

On the 14th, Choa posted a video on her Instagram with the hashtag "#CancerOuting."

The video begins with the phrase 'Diagnosed with cancer at 33' and shows her during the first year of her happy marriage. In May of last year, Choa visited a hospital for a prenatal check-up and was diagnosed with cervical cancer. In disbelief, she visited five of the top university hospitals in Korea. The diagnosis revealed a 3cm stage 1 cancer, and she was told preserving her fertility would be difficult.

Choa shared, "The shocking news left me in tears, unable to stand, and I went through the toughest time of my life. But I held hands with my husband and prayed, refusing to give up." She continued, "I did everything possible to reduce the size of the cancer. I studied, exercised, and completely changed my diet. Thanks to these efforts, the cancer was much smaller than expected during surgery, and miraculously, my fertility was preserved." Now, a year later, Choa stated, "I recently passed my fourth follow-up examination without issues." She began sharing healthy recipes on social media, inspired by meeting many patients at the hospital and wondering how to ease their suffering.

Through her writing, Choa also shared her journey with cervical cancer and her preparations for pregnancy. She expressed, "There are many who are more ill and struggling than I am, so I hesitated, but I decided to share my story in hopes it might offer some help and hope to someone. I received great comfort and help from cancer-related communities. I plan to continue sharing and communicating my journey as I have received."

Choa reflected, "I used to pride myself on my health, having never been sick, and joked about wanting to faint once. I never imagined being diagnosed with cancer in my 30s and undergoing surgery. Looking back, my diet was full of junk food, and I lived with constant sleep deprivation and stress. Now, my life has changed 180 degrees." She added, "Cancer took a lot from me, but it also gave me great insight and lessons, and I am living a much healthier and more vibrant life."

Choa mentioned, "I am soon undergoing another surgery for fertility. Since my cervix was removed, I will have a procedure to preemptively tie my uterus." She continued, "There are many hurdles to overcome for pregnancy and childbirth, but I hope to meet a beautiful child and become a mother, offering comfort and hope to those with similar experiences." She also encouraged, "If you are going through a tough and dark time, remember that this too shall pass, and hold on to hope. I will continue to share helpful content, so please watch over me, and let's cultivate a healthy lifestyle together." She concluded with the hashtag '#ComingOutForTheDayIDoToo.'
