IU Celebrates Milestone: 100th Solo Concert in 16-Year Career

Singer IU has achieved a remarkable milestone by holding her 100th solo concert in her 16-year career.

On the evening of the 22nd, IU hosted the '2024 IU HEREH WORLD TOUR CONCERT ENCORE: THE WINNING' at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Towards the end of the performance, IU shared, "Today marks my 100th solo concert." She continued, "It's hard to believe that such a meaningful performance is indeed my 100th. It's truly the 100th, everyone. One of the fans counted the concerts, something even my mother didn't do. It's a love as great as that of my parents," she marveled.

She added, "I'm curious about who first discovered this. I don't know their face or name, but I felt gratitude towards them on the level of thanking my parents. To the person who counted, I don't know how much you love and watch over me, but thanks to you, I found out. The encore concert on September 22nd at Sangam is my 100th performance," she expressed her gratitude. IU humorously added, "I'll keep going as long as I can, so please keep counting as long as you can. When I reach another significant number, I'll thank you again," eliciting laughter from the audience.

IU began her world tour on March 2nd at KSPO DOME in Songpa-gu, Seoul, performing in 18 cities across continents. She concludes her world tour with this encore concert held on September 21st and 22nd, drawing approximately 100,000 spectators over the two days. To enhance the viewing experience for her fans, she provided individual cushions and binoculars, which garnered attention.
