G-Dragon and Jennie Confirm October Comebacks: A New Chapter for Both Artists

G-Dragon, a member of the group Big Bang and a solo artist, along with Jennie from Blackpink, have confirmed their comebacks in October, drawing attention to their intriguing connection. G-Dragon is set to return with a new digital single album in October, his first in nearly seven years since the release of 'Kwon Ji Yong' in June 2017. Fans have been eagerly awaiting new music from him, and G-Dragon plans to engage in various activities, including appearances on entertainment programs, to quench their thirst. He is determined to satisfy the long-standing anticipation of his fans.

G-Dragon has confirmed his appearance on the tvN talk show 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereafter 'You Quiz') and is currently coordinating his schedule. This marks his first solo comeback in seven years, and through 'You Quiz,' he is expected to share updates on his hiatus and discuss his journey with Big Bang and as a solo artist. G-Dragon's appearance on a long-format talk show like 'You Quiz' is his first since SBS's 'Healing Camp, Aren't You Happy' in February 2012, nearly 12 years ago.

Meanwhile, Jennie has also officially announced her solo comeback in October. According to her agency, OA Entertainment (ODDATELIER), Jennie has partnered with the major American record label Columbia Records and will release a solo single in October. This will be her first solo track in about a year since the release of the special single 'You & Me' in October last year, garnering significant interest from her global fans.

For the first time since their debuts, both G-Dragon and Jennie are releasing solo projects after leaving YG Entertainment.

G-Dragon, who has been the producer for Big Bang and has handled his solo projects, is expected to showcase music that fully embodies his unique style. Since his discharge from the military in October 2019, G-Dragon has been consistently working on music, although he has not released new songs due to his high standards for musical perfection.
