Actress-Turned-Artist Ha Ji-won Sells Out at 2024 KIAF
Actress-turned-artist Ha Ji-won has achieved a remarkable feat by selling out her artworks at her debut exhibition at the '2024 KIAF (Korea International Art Fair)'.

Ha Ji-won participated as an artist in the global art fair '2024 KIAF Seoul' held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, from September 4 to 8. She showcased her artworks through Japan's Snow Gallery. Ha Ji-won was invited to debut at KIAF after her works were noticed in a previous exhibition by Snow Contemporary, which only later discovered her acting career during the preparation process.

Ha Ji-won made her debut at KIAF with her bold black canvas piece 'VIRTUAL VENUS' and her 'paper' series, which features various sketches on white paper. Her works redefine the chaos we all experience from a perspective of 'coexistence,' emphasizing the fundamental need for 'coexistence with oneself' before coexisting with others. 'VIRTUAL VENUS' received high praise for its intense brushstrokes and colors, and all of Ha Ji-won's works were sold out within two days, attracting a wide range of collectors both domestically and internationally.

Expressing her delight at her success at KIAF, Ha Ji-won said, "I never expected to sell out at my first KIAF. I am extremely happy and sincerely thank the collectors who chose my works. I will continue to work hard to communicate with the public through my art."

Ha Ji-won has been actively pursuing her art career, starting with her first solo exhibition 'Ha Ji-won: INSTANT: The beginning of a relationship' at APY Art Project Y in April 2023. She has also participated in the interactive exhibition 'Exchange展' and held 'Pink Drawing: Coexistence' at Gallery Sun in KG Tower, Jung-gu, Seoul, in May. Ha Ji-won continues to make her mark as an artist.
