Um Tae-goo Captivates with Nighttime Street-Themed Photoshoot
Actor Um Tae-goo has unveiled a captivating photoshoot that captures the essence of nighttime streets.
On the 22nd, Um Tae-goo revealed a photoshoot themed 'Alone on the Night Streets' through the September issue of fashion lifestyle magazine 'Allure Korea.' In the shoot, Um Tae-goo exuded charisma in a top that revealed his sharp collarbones against the rough backdrop of nighttime streets. He also showcased a rugged yet soft charm in a textured blouson and short trousers. Additionally, he perfectly embodied the gentle warmth of the night in a light brown suit and coat in front of a warehouse stacked with pallets.
Alongside the photoshoot, a candid interview with Um Tae-goo was also released. Reflecting on the recently concluded JTBC Wednesday-Thursday drama 'The Woman Who Plays,' Um Tae-goo shared, "Choosing 'The Woman Who Plays' was an adventure, and filming it was an adventure too. I'm grateful for the immense love this adventure received, and I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the fans." Um Tae-goo also shared the backstory of opening his SNS account after 17 years since his debut. He explained, "Rather than thinking 'how should I do it,' I just started. Although I can't meet each person, I feel the support from those who cheer for me. I wanted to reciprocate that feeling." Regarding his first post featuring his pet dog, he said, "I was too shy to post my own picture. When thinking about my favorite photo, I realized I liked the one of my pet, Umji, the most. That photo makes me smile even when I'm expressionless."
Through 'The Woman Who Plays,' Um Tae-goo transformed into a lovable character, a stark contrast to the rugged roles he has portrayed in numerous works, earning him immense love from global fans. According to the FUNdex survey by Good Data Corporation, a K-content competitiveness analysis institution, Um Tae-goo ranked first in the drama/non-drama overall cast popularity category for five consecutive weeks.
Meanwhile, the September issue of 'Allure Korea,' featuring Um Tae-goo's photoshoot and interview, is available at bookstores nationwide and online. 'Allure Korea' will also present various content on its official website and SNS.
