Inside Out 2 reclaims first place
The animation film 'Inside Out 2' ranked first at the box office again, exceeding 6 million viewers.
According to the integrated movie theater ticket network, on the 4th, 'Inside Out 2' attracted 101,449 people in one day. As a result, the cumulative number of viewers was 6,011,539.
'Inside Out 2' attracted 190,000 people on the first day of its release, achieving the highest opening score of any domestic Pixar release ever. In addition, it surpassed 4 million viewers within 12 days of its release, making it one of the top 3 box office hits this year, following 'Pamyo' and 'Crime City 4'. It also surpassed the record of 4.97 million recorded by the previous film ‘Inside Out’ (2015).
'Inside Out 2' is an animation film about the crisis and adventure that begins again when 13-year-old Riley's peaceful daily life is shattered as new unfamiliar emotions such as anxiety, embarrassment, boredom, and envy appear in the emotional control center in Riley's head.
‘Escape’, which was on its second day of release, fell one place from the previous day to take second place. The number of daily viewers is 81,382, and the cumulative number of viewers is 207,962.
'Escape', starring Lee Je-hoon and Koo Kyo-hwan, depicts the life-threatening chase between Gyu-nam, a North Korean soldier who begins his escape for tomorrow, and Hyeon-sang, an officer of the National Security Agency who pursues Gyu-nam to protect today.
‘Handsome Guys’ maintained 3rd place. During the day, 40,882 viewers were added, bringing the total audience to 655,831.
'Handsome Guys', starring Lee Sung-min and Lee Hee-jun, is a horror comedy about Jae-pil and Sang-gu, who dreamed of living a peaceful country life, but end up moving into a house that is haunted.
4th place was ‘Hijack 1971’ and 5th place was ‘A Quiet Place: Day 1’.
As of 8:30 am on the 5th, 'Inside Out 2' ranked first at 38.3% in real-time reservation rate. The second place in advance reservation rate is ‘Escape’ (18.9%), and the third place is ‘Handsome Guys’ (11.0%).
