Ha Jung-woo, "Low box office performance? I'm disappointed that I wasn't loved"
Actor Ha Jung-woo said, "I just hope 'Hijacking' does well," amidst a series of poor box office performances last year.

On the 13th, Ha Jung-woo was interviewed about the movie 'Hijacking' at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and told various stories.

'Hijacking' is a film about the extreme situation that occurred when a passenger plane was hijacked in the airspace of Korea in 1971. It was created based on a true story. Ha Jung-woo played the role of Tae-in, a passenger aircraft co-pilot from the Air Force. The emotional changes of the character who struggles to save the passengers while confronting the kidnapper Yong-dae (played by Yeo Jin-goo) were delicately portrayed.

Ha Jung-woo's works released last year, such as 'Unofficial Operation' and '1947 Boston', failed to break even and received a bitter report card. When asked if there was any pressure at the box office of this work, he said, “I just hope that ‘Hijacking’ does well.” He added, “It is unfortunate that my previous works were not loved, and I need to know why they were not loved, and I will just try to avoid that kind of result next time. ‘Hijacking’ “I hope we get good results. Ultimately, it’s about winning people’s hearts, isn’t it? It’s difficult to analyze things scientifically.”

He said, "If you have received so much love so far, this could be a time to take a break. When I made 'Hijacking', I went back to the basics and acted. This is the first movie I chose after the coronavirus. About 60 actors came out early in the morning and rehearsed. Screen “I saw people in positions that weren’t often featured working hard and started filming with the mindset that I would take the lead and keep the basics well,” he said.

‘Hijacking’ is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 21st.
