Don Lee said Ye Jeong-hwa is the person who has been by my side since I was poor

Don Lee expressed his gratitude to his wife, Jeong-hwa Ye.

On the 16th, a showcase to appreciate the box office success of the movie 'Crime City 4' was held at Megabox COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul. Leading actors of the film, including actors Don Lee, Kim Moo-yeol, Lee Dong-hwi, Lee Ji-hoon, Kim Do-gun, Lee Joo-bin, Kim Shin-bi, Kim Ji-hoon, and director Heo Myung-haeng, attended.

Don Lee expressed his gratitude for the series reaching triple 10 million and for the many people who visited theaters. Don Lee said, “The people I am most thankful for are the audience who created this miracle.” He also said he was grateful to the production crew, actors, and family who supported him.

More than anything, Don Lee expressed his gratitude and affection for his wife, Jeong-hwa Ye. Don Lee said, "Especially with my wife, I was poor when I first met her. I was so poor at the time. I was just planning a movie in a small room with 40 to 50 sheets of A4 paper on the wall. You might have thought, 'This person is a strange person.' “I tried to take care of him when he was poor and I suffered a lot before that and was injured a lot,” he said. He continued, "It's actually been a while since my name became known little by little and my situation improved. Although I've been an actor for a long time, I'm grateful to my wife who has protected me from the time I was poor until now, and has given me a lot of ideas and helped me."

Don Lee became a married couple with Yeo Jeong-hwa, who is 17 years younger than him, by registering their marriage in 2021. The two were unable to hold a wedding ceremony due to COVID-19 and busy schedules, but will hold a wedding somewhere in Seoul on the 25th of this month.

The couple's marriage became known in 2022 when Don Lee spoke about his feelings after winning the Film Artist Award at the 12th Beautiful Artist Awards. Don Lee said at the time, "I love and am grateful to my wife, Yeong-hwa Yeong-hwa, and my family who always support me," revealing that he and Yeong-hwa Jeong-hwa had gone from being lovers to husband and wife.

Don Lee has repeatedly revealed his affection for his wife, Jeong-hwa Ye, in public appearances. In an interview about the Netflix movie 'Wilderness', he said, "I eat well because my wife takes good care of me," and "When I get hurt while filming, (artist Ye Jeong) sighs."

Last February, Jeong-hwa Jeong-hwa was spotted accompanying Don Lee on his business trip to Japan. I accompanied Don Lee, who was heading to Japan to promote the Japanese release of 'Crime City 3'.
