CEO Kwon Jin-young illegally prescribes sleeping pills... Indictment without detention
Jinyoung Kwon, CEO of Hook Entertainment, was sent to trial on charges of illegally prescribing sleeping pills.
The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office's Violent Crime Investigation Department (Chief Prosecutor Kim Yeon-sil) announced on the 1st that it had indicted Representative Kwon without detention on charges of violating the Narcotics Management Act (hypopathy).
CEO Kwon is accused of receiving 17 sleeping pills from two employees of his company between January and July 2022. In the process, it is reported that some employees were prescribed zolpidem, which they normally took, or were prescribed Stilnox tablets, a psychotropic drug, after complaining of false symptoms, and handed them over to CEO Kwon.
CEO Kwon also had a conflict with singer Lee Seung-gi over the payment issue.
