Hybe, internal employees react to pseudo-controversy, “It’s absurd, they just laugh”

When Hybe was suspected of being deeply connected to the pseudo-religious group 'Dan World', Hive Labels employees came together to deny it, saying, "There is a sense of loyalty that wasn't there before. This is nonsense."

According to Ten Asia's coverage on the 30th, Hybe employees are pouring out absurd reactions regarding the pseudo-controversy surrounding the company.

A post posted on the Hybe bulletin board of 'Blind', a community of office workers who can post on the bulletin board only if they prove that they are an employee through company email, has become a hot topic. An employee of Hybe Labels wrote, “They say all Hybe employees are brainwashed by Danworld and made to meditate and do yoga every morning. All the conspiracy theories surrounding this company are just so funny.”

Also, on the same day, a post was posted on Blind that said, "I'm more stressed than I thought. I can't believe I was this loyal. I just laugh."

Some employees reacted to these posts by saying, "The public is too overbearing," and "My feelings toward the company were love and hate, but I guess 'love' was bigger." He also mocked the suspicions by saying, "It's funny. Please give me some time to do yoga and meditation in the morning. I want to do that too," and "Don't be late for the 9 o'clock forum meditation class."

One employee said that all these suspicions were just guesswork and wrote, "They say the work I did was because of Dan World. I'm not a religious person? Didn't Sihyuk tell me to do it? Did I receive a revelation from God?"

This suspicion began on the 25th when Adore CEO Min Hee-jin held an emergency press conference and said that she had been threatened by Hybe executives regarding the contents of the group New Jeans' music video for 'OMG'. The public who raised suspicions claims that this threat is related to Dan World.

Some members of the public claimed that the lyrics of New Jeans' 'OMG' song praise Dan World, while the music video, on the contrary, contains content criticizing Dan World. Accordingly, there are suspicions that Hybe executives associated with the organization may have threatened CEO Min.

One member of the public said, "Anyone who works in the video industry knows this, but when making a video, even the smallest details make people think, 'Did they even think about this?' He added, “Let’s say we chose Sindorim Station by chance, why put the bear, which symbolizes Danworld, at the center of the music video?”

The group BTS was also at the center of suspicion. It was noted that all members except BTS Jin graduated from Global Cyber University, which is known to be operated by Dan World. In addition, the suspicions grew further as the lyrics of some BTS songs included words known to be commonly used in Danworld.
