Hwarang's agency, Yuehua Entertainment, said on the 6th, "Hwarang has been in deep discussions with our company regarding its future activities in the wake of issues related to personal privacy that have recently become known through social media. During this process, Hwarang was unable to regain trust, and our company “We decided that it would be difficult to continue activities as a full team under these circumstances.”

“Accordingly, after careful consideration, we have decided to temporarily suspend Hwarang’s activities. Therefore, Tempest’s activities for their 5th mini-album ‘TEMPEST Voyage’ will be conducted with a 6-member lineup, excluding Hwarang.”

In addition, he said, “We ask for your understanding in advance that there may be some Hwarang filming limited to pre-filming and production cases, and we apologize once again for causing concern to fans with the sudden news.”

Lastly, he added, “Please refrain from baseless speculation and reckless criticism, and please give warm support and encouragement to the Tempest members who are about to begin ‘TEMPEST Voyage’ activities.”

Hwarang has previously been embroiled in controversy over his private life. At a video call fan signing event last month, one fan said, “I saw (Hwarang) at the club.” In response, he admitted to visiting the club, saying, "Did you see it then? Is that the person you saw?"

Hwarang is an adult born in 2001, so visiting clubs is not a problem. However, controversy arose by spreading unconfirmed rumors, including mentioning the names of other idols.

Tempest, to which Hwarang belongs, returns six months after releasing its fifth mini album 'TEMPEST Voyage' at 6 PM on the 11th.
