SLL recruits financial expert Yoon Ki-yoon as CEO

Global creative studio SLL Joongang (SLL) announced on the 11th that it has hired financial expert Yoon Ki-yoon as its new CEO.

Kiyoon Ki, the new CEO of SLL, was in charge of financial strategy and business management at various companies, including CJ Corporation and KT&G, starting with CJ CheilJedang, and served as the head of management support and distribution division at Dongwon Industries. Until recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Kakao Healthcare.

An SLL official said, “CEO Yoon Ki-yoon, as a corporate operation and finance expert, will greatly contribute to raising the value of SLL in the global market and establishing a stable profit structure essential for sustainable growth.” “With the hiring of a new CEO, SLL will pursue an initial public offering (IPO).” “We will proceed successfully and become a truly global studio in name and reality,” he said.

From now on, CEO Yoon Ki-yoon will serve as the general CEO of SLL, and Vice President Park Jun-seo, who was appointed as the head of the production division in the previous regular personnel reshuffle, will focus on strengthening content production capabilities.

Meanwhile, SLL is a studio under the JoongAng Group. Last year, JTBC dramas such as 'Agency', 'Doctor Cha Jeong-sook', 'King the Land', 'Strong Woman Gang Nam-soon', and 'Welcome to Samdali' recorded high viewership ratings, and movies 'Crime City 3' has achieved success with many contents regardless of genre, with cumulative audience exceeding 10 million.

In 2024, there will be 13 dramas, including 'Dr. Slump', which ranked first in the Netflix Global TOP 10 non-English TV category, and 'Wilderness', which ranked first in the non-English movie category, 'Parasite: The Gray', and the Coupang Play original 'Hyde'. A total of 31 works, including 6 movies, will be presented.
