"Please inquire separately for estimated price" G-Dragon's art work auctioned off

An art work by Big Bang's G-Dragon was put up for auction.

According to the Seoul Auction website on the 7th, G-Dragon's work 'Youth is Flower' was submitted for the contemporary art auction to be held on the 29th. This work was completed in 2017 and is known to have been created by spraying spray and markers on steel panels.

This is the first time that a work of art created by G-Dragon has been put up for auction. What is unusual is that, unlike other works up for auction, the estimated price is not specified and it is marked as 'separate inquiry'.

If you look at G-Dragon's work, you can see a flower with blue leaves centered around a smile along with the phrase 'Youth is Flower'. Additionally, the paint flowing down from the pink and green dots is uniquely expressed and attracts attention.

G-Dragon has shown a special interest in works of art. He has been involved in the art world for quite some time, including participating in the planning of the 'PEACEMINUSONE: Beyond the Stage' exhibition held at the Seoul Museum of Art in 2015.

G-Dragon, who is known for his outstanding aesthetic sense, was selected as one of the ‘50 noteworthy collectors’ by Art News, a famous American art magazine, in 2019.

Meanwhile, according to Seoul Auction, the winning price for G-Dragon's work will be determined at the auction at 3 p.m. on the 29th. The work is on display at the Seoul Auction Gangnam Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
