Former 'Monday Kids' singer Han Seung-hee sent to prosecution on fraud charges

Singer Han Seung-hee (35), from the group Monday Kids, was sent to the prosecution on charges of borrowing about 100 million won and disappearing after suggesting a business partnership with an acquaintance.

According to a media outlet on the 19th, Ansan Sangnok Police Station in Gyeonggi Province transferred Han Seung-hee to the Ansan Branch of Suwon District Prosecutors' Office on fraud charges on the 15th.

In 2022, Han Seung-hee approached Mr. A, a health trainer at the gym he used to go to, and suggested that he would establish an entertainment company and that if he helped with the funds, he would hire Mr. A as the company's exclusive trainer after establishment. Accordingly, Mr. A handed over funds worth approximately 100 million won to Han Seung-hee on three occasions starting in June of the same year.

However, Mr. A took legal action from the loan company because Han Seung-hee did not return the money on time, and even after that, he could not even contact him, let alone recover the money, so he sued Han Seung-hee to the police in November last year.

It is reported that Mr. A was unable to repay the borrowed money and was accrued interest, resulting in a debt of more than 100 million won. They are complaining that they have suffered great damage to their economic lives as their credit scores have dropped and their credit card limits have also been reduced to zero.

Meanwhile, Han Seung-hee was a member of Monday Kids for four years starting in 2010, but left in 2014. He later turned into a solo singer, but did not stand out.
