Ahn So-hee, theater stage debut

Actress Ahn So-hee makes her theater debut.

According to her agency BH Entertainment on the 14th, Ahn So-hee will appear in the play 'Closer'. 'Closer' is a work that follows four men and women, Alice, Dan, Anna, and Larry, as they meet and become entangled in each other's lives, set in modern London. It sheds light on the desire and obsession one has for one another, the wavering hearts, and the importance of communication and truth in the process of falling in love and ending that love.

'Closer' is a work by playwright and director Patrick Marber that is loved around the world and has been performed in over 100 cities in 50 countries. In particular, after its premiere in 1997, a film of the same name was produced in 2004 starring Natalie Portman, Jude Law, and Julia Roberts, and the film also achieved both box office success and artistic value. Ahn So-hee joins 'Closer', which returns after 8 years, and adds her color.

Ahn So-hee takes on her first stage challenge as Alice, a confident character who longs for love but refuses to be swayed by fate. He said, "I am happy and grateful to be able to express the attractive character 'Alice' in a good work called 'Closer', which is my first attempt at a play. I am both nervous and excited about the stage of the play and the interaction with the audience. “I will wait for the day and prepare hard,” he said.

Sohee Ahn has been delicately depicting emotions through various works such as the dramas 'Missing: They Were There 2' and '30, 9', the movies 'The Night of the Moon', and the barrier-free version narration for 'School Trip'. Expectations are high for the potential and energy that Sohee Ahn will display on stage.

‘Closer’ opens at Daehakro Plus Theater on April 23.
