Stray Kids Felix donates 100 million won
Group Stray Kids member Felix donated 100 million won.
According to the Korean Committee for UNICEF on the 4th, Felix donated 100 million won. Felix, who became the youngest member of UNICEF Honors Club history and the first member in 2024 with this donation, has always been at the forefront of sharing activities for underprivileged neighbors.
In particular, this time, funds were delivered to help children in Laos who are having difficulty growing due to poor drinking water, sanitation and nutrition. Laos is one of the countries with poor drinking water, sanitation, and nutrition, with only 18% of the total population having access to safe drinking water and 33% of infants under 5 years of age suffering from stunted growth.
All of Felix's funds will be used to improve the drinking water and sanitation environment for children in Laos and to support nutritional support projects.
Felix said, "I participated in this donation because I wanted to share the love I received. I hope that Laos children, who suffer from various difficulties due to polluted water, hygienic conditions, and insufficient nutrition, will grow up healthy in a safer environment in the new year."
Cho Mi-jin, Secretary General of the Korean Committee for UNICEF, said, “It is even more meaningful that the good influence of Felix, who is loved by people around the world, can be conveyed to children around the world through UNICEF. “I am truly grateful to Felix for his warm sharing.”
UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) is the only organization whose role in promoting children's rights is explicitly mentioned in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. It provides health, nutrition, water and sanitation, education, protection, and emergency relief for children around the world. It is a UN-affiliated organization that conducts business. UNICEF Korean Committee is the organization representing UNICEF in Korea and raises funds for children around the world and promotes children's rights in Korea through UNICEF child-friendly society creation projects.
