Producer Min Hee-jin, who created New Jeans, received a presidential commendation

Min Hee-jin, CEO of label ADOR, received a presidential commendation in recognition of her contribution to shining K-content around the world.

CEO Min Hee-jin received the Presidential Citation for Contribution to Overseas Expansion at the '2023 Korea Content Awards (hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, hosted by the Korea Creative Content Agency)' held at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 13th. This awards ceremony selects and awards workers and works that have contributed to shining the Korean content industry and providing emotion and joy to the people.

CEO Min Hee-jin is the general producer of NewJeans, a group under Adore, and is evaluated as a person who presented a new paradigm in K-pop and raised the status of K-pop around the world. He approached the public with the essence of ‘good music’. Thanks to CEO Min Hee-jin's strategic production, NewJeans gained public recognition by being listed on the US Billboard main song chart 'Hot 100' just six months after its debut.

New Jeans topped Billboard's main album chart 'Billboard 200' just one year after its debut with its second EP 'Get Up' released last July. Based on these achievements, NewJeans received the 'Top Global K-pop Artist' award at the '2023 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs)' last month.

NewJeans confirmed its strong presence by listing its names in the 2023 'Song of the Year' and 'Album of the Year' in the year-end accounts of leading overseas media such as the US Billboard, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, the UK's Guardian, and NME. NewJeans and its works ranked highest among this year's K-pop artists and works selected by more than 20 media outlets. Some media outlets achieved unprecedented achievements, including being listed on the list for the first time among K-pop artists and works.
