JYP Entertainment to hold auditions nationwide in 2024
JYP will hold auditions for the 18th open recruitment in 2024 and select Wonseok, the next-generation artist who will lead K-pop. Previously, JYP had leading artists such as Wonder Girls, 2PM, Miss A, GOT7, DAY6, Twice, Stray Kids, ITZY, Xdinary Heroes, and NMIXX. Produced global artists.
JYP trainee auditions have been attracting attention as a gateway to the advancement of many representative K-pop artists. 2PM's Wooyoung from JYP, TWICE's Nayeon and Jeongyeon, Stray Kids' Seungmin, and Exdinary Heroes' Jeongsoo, all of whom are from open recruitment auditions, are performing on stages around the world.
An audition official said, "The application rate for the 17th public recruitment audition, which was held for the first time in three years earlier this year, increased by about 40% compared to the 16th audition. As the 17th public recruitment audition was a success, more applications are expected for the 18th public recruitment audition."
The 18th open recruitment audition will be held at Yeram Talent Education Center in Daejeon on January 13, 2024, at Ssangchon Youth Culture House in Gwangju on January 14, at Suyeong-gu Youth Culture House in Busan on the 20th, and at Nam-gu Youth Creation Center in Daegu on the 21st. The Seoul Audition held at the Seoul Youth Center for two days from the 27th to the 28th concludes the schedule spanning five cities across the country. The final successful candidate will be given the opportunity to become a JYP trainee.
Auditions will be accepted starting today (the 1st) on the JYP Audition official site. Anyone born before 2014 or after 2006 can apply, and you can choose the one field you are most confident in out of the five fields: vocals, rap, dance, modeling, and acting.
