The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute extracted 99,957,750 pieces of idol group brand big data from December 23, 2022 to January 23, 2023 to analyze idol group brand reputation big data. Idol group brand reputation is a brand category analysis that integrates boy groups and girl groups. The brand reputation index was analyzed by measuring consumers' participation index, media index, communication index, and community index for the idol group brand. Compared to 93,006,397 idol brand big data in February 2022, it increased by 7.47%.
The brand reputation index is an indicator created through brand big data analysis to find that consumers' online habits have a significant impact on brand consumption. Through the analysis of idol group brand reputation, it is possible to measure positive and negative evaluations of the idol group brand, media interest, and consumer interest and traffic. A qualitative evaluation by the brand reputation monitor was also included.
The top 30 idol group brand reputation rankings in January 2023 are New Jeans, BTS, Blackpink, Ive, Seventeen, (G)I-DLE, NCT, Girls' Generation, Big Bang, Super Junior, Monsta X, Le Seraphim, EXO, and Red Velvet. , Twice, Stray Kids, Aespa, The Boyz, Oh My Girl, SHINee, BTOB, Tomorrow by Together, Astro, N-Mix, VIXX, Enhyphen, Shinhwa, Highlight, Cosmic Girls, and Apink.
The New Jeans brand (Minzy, Hani, Daniel, Hae-rin, Hye-in), which ranked first in the idol group brand reputation, was analyzed as having a brand reputation index of 9,400,011, with a participation index of 2,151,394, a media index of 2,503,541, a communication index of 1,637,089, and a community index of 3,107,987.
The 2nd place, BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) brand, was analyzed with a brand reputation index of 8,106,573, with a participation index of 675,024, a media index of 1,219,897, a communication index of 2,876,046, and a community index of 3,335,606.
The 3rd place brand, Blackpink (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa), was analyzed with a brand reputation index of 4,865,510, with a participation index of 292,334, a media index of 504,057, a communication index of 1,711,502, and a community index of 2,357,617.
The 4th place brand, Ive (Ahn Yu-jin, Gaeul, Lay, Jang Won-young, Liz, Lee Seo), was analyzed with a brand reputation index of 3,878,364, with a participation index of 714,028, a media index of 899,212, a communication index of 912,574, and a community index of 1,352,550.
5th place, Seventeen (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, Dokyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) brand with a participation index of 406,210, a media index of 632,032, a communication index of 856,473, and a community index of 1,371,377. The reputation index was analyzed as 3,266,092.
Koo Chang-hwan, director of the Korea Business Research Institute, said, "New Jeans brand ranked first in the idol group brand reputation ranking in January 2023. Looking at the idol group brand category, there was a 7.47% increase compared to 93,006,397 idol brand big data in February 2022. Looking at the detailed analysis, brand consumption decreased by 3.95%, brand issues decreased by 11.43%, brand communication decreased by 3.80%, and brand diffusion increased by 34.84%.”
He continued, "The New Jeans brand, which ranked first in the idol group brand reputation in January 2023, had 'record, breakthrough, apologize' highly ranked in link analysis, and 'OMG, Minzy, Ditto' came high in keyword analysis." In the negative rate analysis, the positive rate was 86.05%.
