Won Jin-ah, theater debut with ‘Faust’

On the 9th, her agency Yubon Company announced, “Won Jin-ah will appear as Gretchen in the play ‘Faust’, which opens on March 31.”
The play 'Faust' is a reinterpretation of the play completed over 60 years by the great German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Through Faust's imperfect actions and choices, direction and inspiration for an imperfect life are presented.
This work will be directed by Yang Jeong-woong, who also directed ‘Coriolanus’ and ‘Peer Gynt.’ Yoo In-chon plays the role of Faust, Park Hae-soo plays the role of Mephisto, and Park Eun-seok plays the role of Young Faust.
Gretchen, played by Won Jin-ah, falls in love with a young Faust she meets by chance, and as a result, she faces a crisis that puts her entire family and herself in danger.
Won Jin-ah plans to vividly embody the purity and beauty of Gretchen, who devotedly believes in love and faith, on stage. In particular, in this play, all actors, including Won Jin-ah, appear as a original cast, raising even more expectations for Won Jin-ah's challenge to show off another potential by completely blending into the work and role.
Meanwhile, the play 'Faust' starring Won Jin-ah will be performed at the LG SIGNATURE Hall at LG Arts Center Seoul from March 31 to April 29.
