Actress Jeong Ryeo-won donated 50 million won in support for emergency relief after the Turkiye-Syria earthquake.

According to World Vision, an international relief and development NGO, on the 10th, Jeong Ryeo-won donated 50 million won to residents and children affected by the earthquake.

The donations delivered by Jeong Ryeo-won will be used through World Vision to provide basic drinking water and sanitation/health projects, support for food and daily necessities, support for temporary shelters, and child protection projects for children and families suffering from the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

Previously, Jung Ryeo-won continued her good deeds by participating in World Vision's 2023 Give-A-Nice Day campaign to help war-affected children in January. This time, he did not stop at sponsorship, but took the lead in spreading good influence by posting emergency information on relief goods to Turkiye organized by the Embassy of Turkiye in Korea and Turkiye Airlines through his personal account and encouraging donation of goods.

World Vision Chairman Cho Myung-hwan said, “I am sincerely grateful to actress Jeong Ryeo-won for spreading her good influence.” He added, “In particular, children and residents in northwestern Syria have already suffered a lot for a long time, but this major earthquake has put them in an even worse and more vulnerable situation.” “We will do our best to ensure that your precious donation is delivered to the field and used where it is truly needed,” he said.
