PMI Co., Ltd., an online research agency, conducted a survey on 'Celebrities you would like to gift chocolate to on Valentine's Day' targeting 1,000 women aged 20 to 69 across the country using the survey production platform Unisurvey.
This online survey was conducted separately for actors and idols. As a result of the survey, the first place in the actor category was Park Bo-gum (23·8%), and the first place in the idol category was BTS (60·8%).
Park Bo-gum, who was selected as the number one male actor who would like to give chocolate as a gift on Valentine's Day with an approval rating of 23·8%, recently moved to THEBLACKLABEL agency and announced active activities. He is trusted and loved by the public for his unique good and comfortable charm across screens and TVs. He is also working as an advertising model for 'Ace Bed'. As if to prove his brand value, a new TV commercial YouTube video for the first half of 2023 was released in 24 days. The number of views exceeded 10 million.
Following Park Bo-gum, second place is Son Seok-gu (15·7%), third place is Yoo Yeon-seok (10·9%), fourth place is Jung Kyung-ho (10·1%), and fifth place is Choi Woo-sik (9·7%). It has been shown that male actors who have been active in acting through recent dramas are gaining favor with the public.
BTS was selected as the number one male idol who would like to give chocolate as a gift on Valentine's Day with an overwhelming figure of 60·8%. It recorded the highest figure across all age groups, from those in their 20s to those in their 60s, proving its status as a 'national idol' loved by the entire nation. Recently, they made history by becoming the first K-pop singer to be nominated for three consecutive years and be nominated in three categories at the 'Grammy Awards', one of the most prestigious awards ceremonies in popular music.
