Search and seizure of two homes of Yoo Ah-in ended
A police search and seizure is underway on actor Yoo Ah-in (real name Um Hong-sik, 37), and his summons to the police is imminent.
On the 7th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Drug Crime Investigation Unit sent investigators to two locations to conduct search and seizure: Yoo Ah-in's home in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, where he actually resides, and his home in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, which is his address on his resident registration. It is said that as a result of the search and seizure, relevant evidence was secured to support the charge of drug use.
The police plan to summon Yoo Ah-in for questioning as soon as possible as a suspect in violation of the Narcotics Control Act. Yoo Ah-in, who has been tight-lipped so far, is interested in what attitude he will have and what he will say at the photo line before and after the police investigation.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety found that Yoo Ah-in administered 4,497 mL of propofol 73 times from January 4, 2021 to December 23, 2021, and requested the police to investigate. Accordingly, the police executed a search and seizure warrant for Yoo Ah-in's body at Incheon International Airport on February 5 and collected body hair and urine.
As a result of the National Institute of Forensic Science analysis, narcotic substances such as propofol, marijuana, cocaine, and ketamine were detected in Yoo Ah-in's hair. The charges against Yoo Ah-in, which initially began with suspicions of habitual use of propofol, were expanded to include charges of drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, and ketamine.
Yoo Ah-in has remained silent regarding this drug scandal. The public is reacting with frustration at the silence of Yoo Ah-in, who had previously garnered attention by reacting sensitively to social issues big and small and expressing his convictions. Many people's attention is focused on whether his tightly closed mouth will open in front of the photo line.
