Jeong Yun-jung, ‘permanent exit’ from Hyundai Home Shopping
Show host Jeong Yun-jeong, who caused a 'profanity controversy', was permanently expelled from Hyundai Home Shopping.

According to the industry on the 3rd, Hyundai Home Shopping decided to ban Jeong Yun-jung from appearing on its home shopping broadcasts indefinitely as a result of internal broadcast deliberation.

This is the first time in the home shopping industry that a show host or brand guest has been banned from appearing. The Advertising Deliberation Subcommittee of the Korea Communications Standards Commission held a meeting on the 28th of last month regarding Jeong Yun-jung's 'profanity controversy'. Accordingly, all that remains is a decision to confirm legal sanctions at the general meeting.

However, even if legal sanctions are confirmed at the general meeting, only home shopping broadcasters will be subject to sanctions and Jeong Yun-jung will not be included. For that reason, it appears that Hyundai Home Shopping has made a bold decision.

Jeong Yun-jeong said that a broadcast related to 'travel products' is scheduled after her broadcast on a cosmetics-related home shopping broadcast, and said, "Travel products are only broadcast for a certain amount of time. Mr. Lee, why are you traveling again? XX."

Immediately after the 'profanity controversy' broke out, he seemed to ignore the criticism, saying, "If you don't like it, don't watch it." Afterwards, as the controversy arose, he bowed his head on his SNS, saying, "I admit to using inappropriate expressions, specifically profanity, during the broadcast," and "I apologize once again for the delay in even a sincere apology."
