Hyeon-mi's close associate "Prepare the funeral home"

Singer Hyunmi (real name Kim Myeong-seon) passed away on the morning of the 4th. Age 85.

On the 4th, a close associate of Hyunmi told Ten Asia, "Everyone is in a state of shock because Teacher Hyunmi passed away suddenly. We are taking steps to set up a funeral at Chung-Ang University Hospital's funeral hall."

Regarding the bereaved family, he added, “He has two sons and lives in the United States, so I understand that he is rushing back home after hearing the news.” In addition, singers Noh Sa-yeon and Noh Sa-bong sisters and actor Han Sang-jin are nephews of the deceased.

According to the police, Hyunmi collapsed at her home in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul at around 9:37 am on this day, and the fan club president Mr. Kim (73) found her and reported it to the police. Mr. Kim was taken to a nearby hospital, but is said to have been pronounced dead.

He debuted in 1962 with 'Night Fog' and gained great popularity, becoming one of the best singers of his time. She is a diva on par with Lee Mi-ja and Patty Kim. It is even more unfortunate because he was in good health and performed well on KBS 2TV's 'Immortal Songs' until last year.
