Lee Gikwang leaves DJ position after 399 days

Group Highlight member Lee Gikwang has completed his one-year journey.

Lee Gikwang held his last broadcast of KBS Cool FM's 'Lee Gikwang's Song Plaza' at noon on the 16th.

On this day, Lee Gikwang received voice letters and text gifts from loyal listeners who have been listening to his broadcasts. They also took pictures or waved hello to fans who visited the scene.

In particular, Highlight members made a surprise appearance during the broadcast to cheer on his final broadcast. Lee Kikwang, who did not know about the visit, was surprised by the members' appearance, and the members gave Lee Kikwang joy by giving him a bouquet of flowers.

The members who watched the teaser for the first solo album 'PREDATOR' together were impressed, saying, "Gikwang's efforts were all revealed in the visuals." Accordingly, Lee Ki-kwang revealed the behind-the-scenes footage of filming the teaser and music video, and Yang Yoseop revealed spoilers of his stage outfit, raising expectations for the new album.

Highlight, who participated in Parts 2 and 3, concluded the broadcast and encouraged Lee Gikwang, saying, “I am proud of the fact that I met listeners every single day despite the difficult schedule, and I am proud of my hard work.” Lee Gikwang also said, “It was a great help to me that the members came to visit.” He expressed his gratitude.

Lee Gikwang started his first broadcast as a DJ on 'Lee Gikwang's Song Plaza' on March 14 last year, and for over a year, he gave listeners a pleasant energy as a food friend. In particular, he sincerely sympathized with the listeners' stories and led the guests' various stories, earning him the nickname 'Hat D' with energy like sunshine.

Meanwhile, Lee Ki-kwang will release the entire music video for his first solo full-length album 'PREDATOR' and the music video for the title song 'Predator' at 6 PM on the 17th.
